Following these findings, the FSA has instigated more stringent lending rules and many lenders have taken the decision to stop offering interest only mortgages altogether. Whilst this will help current and future generations, it doesn’t help those that have currently got an interest only mortgage. We are writing to you to invite you to come in and discuss your options with regards to your current interest only mortgage.

What is RDR? Retail Distribution Review?

This is the biggest overhaul of financial regulation since 1986.
It has led to new FSA rules and regulations which come into
force on the 1st of January 2013 which will affect the way that
financial advice is provided to you.
Although there has always been a minimum qualification
standard to provide financial advice this has been increased
under RDR. From the 1st of January 2013 advisers who wish to
continue providing advice have had to add to their qualifications .
Elanor Hill of LR Finance is already one step ahead as in 2011
she achieved these new and extended qualifications . Elanor

‘Wigan firm comes out on top again’

Wigan-based financial services company, LR Finance, has once again been mystery shopped by Financial Times Adviser with outstanding results.

The respected newspaper, part of the Financial Times group, surveyed LR Finance as part of a review of financial services in Wigan using a mystery shopper. The mystery shopper commented that the advice received from LR Finance was “very friendly and helpful, and that the adviser was very knowledgeable of the mortgage market,” giving them an overall score of 33 out of 35, the highest mark out of all those contacted.

Victoria Whittle, managing director of LR Finance, commented: “We are very proud to have achieved this recognition again, particularly as it was judged by a ‘mystery shopper’, who as far as we were aware was a genuine member of the public calling us for advice.
